February’s OMA member meeting will take place in Vancouver, Canada.

The Sutton Place Hotel is located in downtown Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver is located approximately 12 km / 8 miles from Vancouver International Airport (YVR). A taxi costs approximately $30 CAD one-way. The Skytrain (Canada line) also runs from the airport to downtown Vancouver. The cost of the Skytrain is $9.00 from YVR to Downtown and $4.00 from Downtown to YVR. If taking the Skytrain, the total trip takes 30 to 35 minutes — YVR to Vancouver City Centre Station takes 24 minutes and then by taxi or walking, approximately an additional 6 -10 minutes to the hotel.

OMA meetings are free to attend and open to Sponsor, Full, Associate, Supporter, and Explorer members as well as Government Agency participants. While there is no cost to attend OMA meetings, pre-registration is required before the deadline of January 20.

No on-site registration will be available. Please register here before January 20, 2017.

Hotel Block:

The Sutton Place Hotel is offering OMA members discounted room rates until the deadline of 17:00 Pacific time on Friday, January 13. The below rates are available for the nights of Monday, February 6 through Thursday, February 9 at the following rates:

The above group rates include daily hot breakfast buffet, complimentary standard wireless internet in your guestroom, and complimentary access to the pool and fitness centre. These discounted rates are available from Monday, February 6 through Thursday, February 9. Rates are extended 3 days prior to February 6 and 3 days following February 9, upon request and subject to availability.

The above group rates are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable fees, including a 1.5% city fee, 11% room tax, and 5% GST. Taxes and fees are subject to change.

When making a reservation via telephone or email, simply reference you would like the rate for the “OMA Meeting 2017” with booking code: OMA2017

When making a reservation online via the website, click for the “Rooms” section and the button to “View All Rooms” to see all the room types available. The Run of House Guestroom is also known as the Sutton Room. Select your room then select your dates and number of adults. A brown tab along the bottom of the page will automatically fill in your selections. On the brown booking tab, click “Apply Code” and select “Group Code” and enter OMA2017.

Invitation Letters:

If you require an invitation letter for your Visa requirements to enter Canada, please fill out this Visa letter request form. 

OMA staff will email you the completed letter within 2 business days of your request. Only electronic copies on OMA letterhead will be emailed.
